One of the more personal songs I’ve written, let alone released. I reminisce on some of my biggest losses that made me cling to my music even more. Ive always felt like music was my everything, and through ups and downs, a lot of the times I’ve felt like it was all I had. Listen for yourself.
On this weeks release, Mpulse links with Don Cannon to talk about things he’s willing to tolerate on his journey through life. “Cool With That” is very relaxed but doesn’t stop Mpulse from doing what he always does – putting on a show with his lyrics and delivery.
This marks week 29 out of 52 for Mpulse’s “52 Weeks” music campaign, where he plans to release new music every week for a year straight.
Mpulse re-connects with frequent collaborators Keef Boyd, Don Cannon, and Lyle LeDuff for this weeks cut. For the first time since week 1 of Mpulse’s “52 Weeks” campaign, all 3 producers link up to help Mpulse paint a gritty picture about the “field”.
Directed by Mpulse, shot and edited by The Loafers. The official video for Mpulse’s previously released, Lyle Leduff produced single, “Doin’ This Forever”.
This video serves as a walk down memory lane, filled with old clips and personal footage from the course of Mpulse’s young, but at the same time extensive career. The timeline of the clips vary from age 14 all the way to 23. “Doin’ This Forever” is an ambitious perspective of the grind when you’re trying to make it in the music industry.
Mpulse is still in Atlanta working on his next project, and we are expecting to drop it before the summer is up.
I went and saw the Entourage movie and wanted to make something that I felt would have fit on the soundtrack. Its almost as if I wrote it from a Vinny Chase perspective but its still relevant to Mpulse. You don’t have to watch Entourage to enjoy the song, though.
“Doin This Forever” is really the story of what drives Mpulse to strive for greatness. His journey has been long, and there are still many chapters yet to be written. It really embodies everything Mpulse is about. This is one of Mpulse’s favorite tracks, so you can imagine that we are very ecstatic to release this.
Lyle Leduff is the producer, most notably known for his production on ASAP Rocky’s “Brand New Guy” and Young Jeezy’s “Holy Ghost”.
Mpulse is currently in Atlanta working on a secret project with Keef Boyd and Don Cannon. While a release date and title have yet to be announced, there will be more details revealed very soon.
After years of work, Mpulse finally releases his first full-length album for FREE. While there are no features, a very talented group of guys contributed to the production of “Be Incredible”. Producers on the album include Don Cannon, Lyle LeDuff, Tec Beatz, Keef Boyd, and more.
Mpulse wanted the album to represent him and everything he is about, so he decided that featuring other artists wasn’t necessary. “Be Incredible” should serve as a serious introduction to who the 22 year old rapper is as a artist – and more importantly – a person. To coincide with the release of “Be Incredible”, Mpulse also did a blog to give insight on his experience and mind state. You can find that HERE.
