A lot of artists these days aren’t as self-aware as they claim to be. It takes a lot to be honest with who you are, including failures and successes, in such a public way. On Mpulse’s new “Self-Awareness” EP, he sticks to his guns and covers a wide variety of topics, including failing to reach goals, work ethic, debt, family, and more. We hope you take a second to take a peek inside of Mpulse’s mind on this new EP!

Mpulse has vowed to release an EP every month for the entire year, and here we are with his 5th drop in 5 months.
Most people prefer to digest music in their vehicle, not only for convenience, but because the level of focus you have while driving allows you to interpret music differently. “Listen While Driving” is a collection of songs that take advantage of that focus with strong lyrics, beats that will sound great in any car speakers, and hooks that will get stuck in your head.
“Life Happens” is a series of concepts crafted by Mpulse. The EP consists of 4 songs – each representing a unique relationship, not all relative to Mpulse, but common among people – that may hit close to home for some.
This is the 4th EP by Mpulse this year alone and he will continue to release them for the duration of 2018. Production for “Life Happens” is handled by Mpulse, Keef Boyd, Detroit Red, and Keenan Davis.
With ‘Socially Awkward’, Mpulse distances himself from his peers – literally. With contributions from Keef Boyd, Mpulse stays home and touches on the differences between him and the current climate of Hip Hop. This short project focus’ on fun, personality, and most importantly, lyrics.

I turned 26 this month. First and foremost I want to thank everyone for continuing this journey with me year after year. It can be a hard knowing I haven’t accomplished what I thought I would have by now. At the same time I feel like I’ve accomplished so much. Its a very conflicting feeling. Last year I built my resume with 52 consecutive weekly releases and now that I’ve shown what I’m capable of, I want to show you a little more of who I am. I’d like to ask you to take 9 minutes and 17 seconds of your time to get to know me a little more than you did before. If you like what you hear, please pass it along to someone else who might like it too. It’s with love I present to you my first of 12 offerings this year. 26.
“Finally – the final week of Mpulse’s year-long ’52 Weeks’ campaign. For the final release of the campaign, Mpulse delivers a personal, heartfelt ode to his family and loved ones, telling them everything is going to be fine. It’s only up from here and Mpulse is looking to continue chasing his dreams, following his heart, and upgrading his life.”
From Mpulse: “I just want to say THANK YOU for supporting me and my efforts to bring attention to my work ethic, passion, and music. This campaign is something I will always be proud of and I consider it a success to have finished it. Hopefully I’ve earned the respect of any hip hop fans who have followed it, and that they continue to check for me in the future. Much love to everybody who helped or had a part in it, thank you. Forever.”
Mpulse returns for week 50 (!) of his ’52 Weeks’ music series with the aspirations to be incredible. On the subtly titled ‘FAIR’, Mpulse expresses his hopes to change his lifestyle with the fruits of his labor – which he feels he hasn’t received yet.
For week 49, Mpulse is unapologetically him. He doesn’t let any outside chatter interfere with what he does or how he thinks. Mpulse, once again, uses a Keef Boyd backdrop to get things off of his chest.
